Designing Libraries Around Human Experience - Reimagining The Library As A Sensory, Social and Civic Space. Designing Libraries Conference Presentation by Emily Peasgood Studio and Studio Ben Allen.

Activity: Talk or presentation › Invited talk

Description

I was an invited speaker and sponsor at the inaugural National Designing Libraries Conference, held at Swiss Cottage Library, London, on 17 June 2026. Alongside architect Ben Allen (Studio Ben Allen), I co-presented a session titled "Inclusive Libraries Designed with Communities," discussing our collaborative approach to inclusive design and co-production, drawn from our work on Haydock Library, the UK's first fully SEND-inclusive library space. The conference, organised by Designing Libraries CIC, brought together library leaders, architects, designers, and technology specialists from the UK and internationally to explore innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability in library design.
