I am the learning technologist at the Guildhall School with responsibility for the digital learning strategy and the use of Moodle and other technologies for teaching, learning and assessment. With 30 years of HE experience, including as a lecturer, educational developer and digital learning service manager, I have worked with and mentored academic colleagues, administrators and students in a wide variety of disciplines.

I have presented over 20 papers about digital learning at international conferences and also peer review research articles on digital education and educational development for journals including Research in Learning Technologies (ALT), Studies in Technology Enhanced Learning (Lancaster Uni), Innovations in Education and Teaching International (T&F) and Journal of Learning Development in Higher Education (ALDinHE).

A member of ALT, I represent the School on the Steering Groups of the national Heads of eLearning Forum and the regional M25 London Learning Technology network. As a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, I mentor applicants through the School's Catalyst scheme leading to SF/Fellowship recognition. I have been a reviewer for Advance HE's CATE scheme and was a member of the judging panel for the Digital Education Awards.

Alongside my work at the School, I am an acknowledged UK authority on the music of George Enescu, having written programme notes on his works, and wider repertoire, for the London Philharmonic and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestras, Wigmore Hall and various record labels. I write feature articles and reviews of recordings, plus UK and international performances, for publications including Fanfare (USA), Gramophone, Musicweb International, etc. I maintain an occasional blog at https://evansupbeatmusic.blogspot.com/
