Project Details
Description
Professor Andy Lavender, Dan Shorten and Vanessa Lingham successfully applied for funding to support the project ‘ARray – An augmented reality and pre-visualisation tool for the costume design industry’. Working with Angels Costumes – a leading costume house – the researchers will use cutting-edge digital technologies to develop a prototype subscription-based digital costume library that will enable costume designers to view, manipulate, and make changes to costumes virtually.
This project is possible due to the cutting-edge technologies acquired through the School’s successful 'Renew and upgrade facilities for creative and cultural research' (CReSCa) application to enhance the School’s Extended Reality research and production infrastructure.
