Abstract
This film was an attempt to integrate approaches to story-telling based on 17th century operatic practices with early 20th century innovative film-making. The musical approach was based on insights gained from several years of early opera productions at BREMF and from my research into ornamentation for Con Arte e Maestria. The project was rehearsed, recorded, performed and filmed within a week in 2021, with all performers working together, rather than instruments separately from singers & director.
