Abstract

The City of London has been celebrating the 800 year anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta. The city is the only place to be mentioned specifically in the original document and they have a copy dating back as far as 1292 on display in the Guildhall library (until Oct 1st). As part of the celebration the Guildhall School was asked to prepare and show a history of the document utilising their state of the art projection mapping skills onto the classic Guildhall Great Hall. So video lecturer and designer Dan Shorten prepared the content while students Dominic Baker and Oliver Levett set up the projection equipment including a 4.1 sound system with content from sound lecturer Andy Taylor.
