Abstract
The performer studied with Messiaen and his wife, Yvonne Loriod, as a student—this performance was an experience that marked the culmination of many years spent studying Messiaen's music. The piece, which lasts two hours, was first performed during lockdown on Messiaen's birthday for a small live audience. Since then, it has been performed five more times, in the UK and Denmark.
